Modder IOI-632671 released two new tweaks for Mortal Kombat 1, which introduced 10 guest fighters to the game. The first mod added 4 characters from the Marvel Universe to the fighting game:
- Venom (replaces Noob Saibot/Mavado);
- Green Goblin (replaces Cyrax/Sarina);
- Ultron (replaces Sektor);
- Spider-Man in a stealth suit (replacing Takeda/Darrius).

The second change to IOI-632671 introduced 6 horror movie characters into the game:
- Wolfman (replaces Johnny Cage);
- Creature from the Black Lagoon (replaces Rain/Darrius);
- Frankenstein’s Monster (replaces Hawk);
- Dracula (replaces Nitara);
- Mummy (replaces Takeda);
- Invisible Man (replaces Reptile/Stryker).
A mod created by ArScorpi added Mysterio from the Marvel Universe to the fighting game (another version here).
A change from DazzyAllen introduced Sonya Blade Mortal Kombat 4.
