Transfer Grand Theft Auto 6 on 26 May 2026 mentioned a real chaos in the game industry. According to Bloomberg observer Jason Schreier, they are alarming in some studios and collect emergency meetings.

Some projects such as Marathon, Spirit of Yotei, The outer worlds 2 and Ninja Gaiden 4 were in relative safety as a result of transfer. Others were less lucky – some studios especially shifted the release date for 2026, so as not to be in the same calendar with the GTA 6. But the recent transfer literally squeezed them into a vice.
A developer told me a large multiplayer game that they had previously postponed the release date since the autumn of 2025 in the spring of 2026. This was mainly due to the fact that the game needed more time, and to get away from GTA 6. Now they are in a vice. The second delay will be too expensive and will increase the bets before release.
In other conversations, people who work on games, whose exit is planned in the fall of 2026, told me that they pray that Rockstar no longer changed his mind – or, in some cases, changed his mind so that they had a reason to postpone the release until 2027 and to save more time.
Jason Schreyer compared to what happens to “Large-scale game of 4D Shahmat”In which the entire industry plays. Business analysts guess with Might and Main or Rockstar will be completed by the specified time, or or or another unpredictable turn for them. Serious fears are caused by the GTA 6 online mode-as the experience of the fifth shows, it can fascinate a considerable part of the audience for a long time.
On the other hand, there is a positive example with the release of the remaster TES 4: Oblivion and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Both games were released almost simultaneously, but the release of the great publisher was not overshadowed by the Sandfall Interactive Indi hit.
Recently a small but very realistic detail was found in the second trailer GTA 6. A complete analysis of the video can be found here.
