NetherRealm Studios creative director Ed Boon teased Mortal Kombat fans with another “feature” that could be returned to the series. This is a popular mode that appeared last Mortal Kombat: Armageddon in 2006.
We are talking about the ‘Conquest’ mode, a kind of world exploration. The player can explore locations, complete side missions or collect collectibles. The mode debuted in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance and last appeared almost 20 years ago in Armageddon.
Recently the Gamerant portal recalled about “Conquest”, and Ed Boon drew attention to the article. He reposted it on his page and asked fans if it was worth returning to the regime. The latter overwhelmingly approved of this idea.

Let us remind you that the Khaos Reigns add-on was recently released for Mortal Kombat 1 with three new characters and animalities.
