Guides for Black Myth: Wukong

How to get silk

Silk is one of the most important materials in Black Myth: Wukong. Luckily, there are several ways to get this resource. Silk is used to craft rare and epic armor, which can really help boost your stats in the first few areas of Black Myth: Wukong. How much silk you need depends on the type of armor and its rarity.

Defeat your enemies

One of the easiest ways to get silk in Black Myth: Wukong is by defeating certain enemies. Starting in Chapter 2, you’ll encounter various enemies, such as rat enemies that have a good chance of dropping silk when defeated. These enemies are quite common and provide you with a decent supply of resources, with a chance of dropping them as loot of around 25%.

So defeating enemies can be a good source of farming and gathering silk, and you don’t even have to leave the main storyline. Plus, in later chapters you’ll encounter powerful enemies and bosses that also drop silk and other valuable items, such as Yaoguai Cores that you can use to upgrade your weapons.

Loot Chests

If you’re not in the mood to fight enemies and want to collect silk without fighting, look for hidden chests. These hidden chests are scattered around the map. However, they’re usually in hard-to-reach places, so you’ll have to explore the map carefully. Keep in mind that not all chests contain silk, but on the other hand, they can provide you with other decent rewards.

Purchase

If defeating enemies or finding chests doesn’t give you enough silk, you can also buy it from shops in shrines. However, this isn’t a reliable option for gathering silk, as it’s expensive, costing around 600 euros per piece.

While it is relatively easy to simply buy silk, it will cost you money that you could be saving for other important items. However, if you do decide to buy silk, it is best to only do so if you need it for important armor upgrades.

Once you’re done collecting silk, you can use it to craft different armor sets at each shrine. To craft armor, you’ll need to open the “Craft” menu in the shrine. Select the set you want to craft and make sure you have enough silk and other necessary materials. Additionally, you can also exchange silk for in-game currency.
