Independent studio Gelato Games has announced a retro action game Guns of Fury, made in the spirit of the Metal Slug series. The developers have already released a trailer where you can see the gameplay.





The gameplay of a new 16-bit action game has been released with hundreds of unique items, bosses, leveling and the atmosphere of 90s games

Guns of Fury is being developed for PC (Steam) and Nintendo Switch. The game contains Metroidvania elements.

“Explore a massive, interconnected world, gain new skills and weapons, battle epic bosses, and stop an evil corporation’s plans before it’s too late.”says the description.

The main action takes place in a disastrous future where the world is in an energy crisis. One day, a scientist creates a new kind of energy called ‘Tetracells’, but after some time he is kidnapped and the laboratory is destroyed. The president of a large company wants to use the scientist’s invention to create a superweapon and subjugate the world. Special agent Vincent Fury must stop these plans, rescue the doctor and regain access to the Tetracells.

Features include beautiful 16-bit graphics in the Sega Mega Drive style, hundreds of unique items, over ten bosses, skill leveling and lots of secrets.

The release is planned for this year. There is a page on Steam.
