The Best Deviations Ever Human and How to Find Them

IN Once Human features a variety of unique creatures known as Deviants that can be found throughout the game world. But it’s not always easy to understand which creatures are the most useful, and which are best left in their natural habitats. In this guide, we’ll discuss the best Deviants available in Once Human.

Deviants are unusual, interesting and sometimes scary creatures that you can meet and catch while exploring the world of Once Human. Unlike creatures from the same Palworld, animals in this game are much rarer and harder to spot. Some are bound to certain zones, while others give you a small chance to defeat specific bosses. Below are the most effective Deviants in the game.

Gingerbread House is one of the most notable anomalies in Once Human. This creature has no active effects that you can use while exploring the world. The Deviant’s abilities also won’t provide much benefit to your base. However, the creature does produce a unique resource: cracker crumbswhich, in combination with glass and acid, become transformation cookies.

It can be found in an area south of the town of Sunbury. Use the map above to find one of these helpers.

This unusual cookie allows the player to transform into an object that adapts to the environment. For example, in the forest you can turn into a small tree, making you almost invisible and ideal for ambushes in PvP. The transformation takes quite a while and allows you to move and jump at the same time while remaining in this form. But it is worth considering that all other actions interrupt the transformation.

The Butterfly Emissary is the first Deviant you will receive immediately after completing the in-game tutorial. This blood-red butterfly is a deviant fighting type and can provide significant assistance in battle thanks to its simple yet effective skills. First, you can set a target for it. After this, the butterfly will strike periodically, dealing significant damage and highlighting the target’s weak point.

If you manage to attack this marked weak point within five seconds while it’s active, your damage will be increased by 25%. This useful ability makes Butterfly Emissary invaluable in boss fights, especially if you have powerful firearms that complement her abilities.

Festering Gel is a Deviant for combat, like Butterfly Emissary, but its aid in combat is a bit different. The creature has defensive abilities and, when activated, creates a wall roughly at the height of its payload, behind which you can take cover and fire at enemies.

This wall also has the added benefit of healing the hero for 4% health and 2% sanity every second. This treatment will save you a lot of time and resources, especially if you regularly use remedies like Activator or Sanity Gummies. You can also throw a creature with a unique ability, which knocks enemies back and then creates a wall behind which you can hide and recover. It is worth considering, however, that the time spent aiming Pus Gel will reduce its total duration.

The Paper Figure may not seem like the most useful, but it actually has some unique abilities. This little helper will run around your base and has a chance to drop items on the corpses of aberrant monsters you kill near your base. While this is useful in itself, the main benefit of the Paper Figure is its ability to automatically repair your Stardust Resonance Filter, as well as the walls and floor of your base.

This feature allows you to save a significant amount of materials that you would normally spend on repairs after attacks by other Metahumans or aberrant monsters. The second half of the Once Human seasons, where PvP becomes the main focus, makes the Paper Figure particularly valuable. She can be found during the quest “House of the God of War” in Citrus County. To do so, you must equip the Respect emote for her to activate her abilities.

Digby Boy will become one of your favorite Deviants thanks to the huge time savings in resource extraction. His main task is to collect resources instead of the player, but this opportunity arises after his power has reached the required level. Depending on the location of your base, Digby Boy will collect all available resources nearby and store them until you collect what you have collected.

If you collect its mineral output at least once a day, you can get from 100 to 200 ores of various types. The Logging Beaver is a similar deviation to the previous one, because he also stays at your base and helps you collect the resources you need. But this creature only collects wood, and at any time: whether you are on a mission, at the base or even offline. The only condition: his strength and mood must be at a high level. Even such an assistant can provide you with several hundred units of wood, which you do not need to extract manually. As a reminder, wood is an important resource used in many crafting recipes and when building your home.

To find the beaver, head southwest from Harborside, where you will find several docks. The landmark will be a merchant selling fishing bait. After going down a few steps, you will most likely encounter a Deviant.
