Pirate action The Adventures of Captain Blood, which was canceled in development in 2021, has unexpectedly been given a release date. The game will be released this fall on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X and Nintendo Switch.

The project was developed by the Akella studio since 2003, but was then handed over to the 1C: Sea Wolves team. The “answer to God of War” was supposed to be released in 2010, but due to a lawsuit with foreign publisher Playlogic, the project was shelved. In April 2021, a certain anonymous person posted a fully completed game online – only then were gamers able to try it out.
“The Adventures of Captain Blood” has already acquired a page on Steam. The developers themselves comment on the game’s return:
We’re excited to bring it back to life and supplement the great original with a number of improvements that will appeal to modern players.
Judging from the trailer, the game will be officially released this fall. By the way, we have also published a detailed overview where you can familiarize yourself with the history of the long-suffering project.
A sequel was recently announced in honor of the tenth anniversary of the first part Kick Knight.
