IN Dragon’s Dogma 2 doesn’t feature the usual fast-travel that most open-world RPGs offer. In this guide we tell you about different ways to travel.
Guides for Dragon’s Dogma 2
The map in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is colossal in size and you will have to navigate much of it. There are several ways to travel fast. But unfortunately they are quite limited.
How to get Return Crystals (return point for teleport)
Such crystals allow you to quickly travel through the game world, but obtaining them is not easy. You will receive the first from Captain Brant, and the other can be purchased from the Dragon Life Crystal in the Bay Wayside Shrine in Battahl.
It will be quite difficult to get there at the beginning of the game, so it is better to level up to level 15-20. The temple itself is located in a cave near a sandy beach. Inside, look around: there’s a Rift Stone in the center and a tunnel on the left.
We enter the tunnel and talk to the character Tempered by the Dragon (The Dragonforged). From him you can buy: Ferrystones, Portcrystals and Unmaking Arrows.

But to buy you need Wyrmslife crystals. To get them, we go hunting for dragons and dragons to earn crystallized drops of their blood.
How return crystals and spring stones work
As you explore the vast open world of Dragon’s Dogma 2, you’ll come across glowing stones called Recall Crystals. They can’t be picked up or moved, but you can teleport to them. But first you need to activate them and then spend a small blue Ferrystone to move. These stones are rare, but are usually found in merchants (10,000 gold) as rewards for quests, and are also scattered in chests around the world.

You can purchase your own Return Crystals and leave them in the appropriate place where you often travel or want to return. Ferrystone will be used for the teleport.
The game has a restriction that only allows you to place 10 of your own Return Crystals, but they are reusable. You can pick up one that is no longer being used and move it to a new location.

How to use carts to get around
Instead of the usual horses, Dragon’s Dogma has 2 ox carts. They can take you to any major settlement for gold coins. The further you go, the more expensive it is.
They are quite slow, but they have another advantage. If you don’t want to sleep, you can enjoy the beautiful views of the sites. Then the game gently wakes you up at your arrival point. This is only a problem if you have an urgent search.
The journey may be interrupted by an attack from opponents – then you will have to fight them first. The carts are strong enough to withstand attacks from goblins or wolves – the accompanying guards help with this. But when griffins drag bulls in their paws, problems can arise. If the cart is destroyed during the battle, you will have to continue on foot.
The biggest disadvantage of bullock carts is that they are only available at certain times. Come to where they appear in the morning to ensure they are captured in place.

How to use griffins to move
This is not a completely traditional form of transportation. You can even ride a griffin and go on a journey, but most likely he will not like it and will attack you after landing on the ground.
To fly a griffin, you must lie on its back during the fight. You don’t have to hold on the entire time, but during moments of shaking or sudden maneuvers you can use a little of your endurance. We will have to do our utmost to exhaust him and kill him. The griffin can also simply fly away when it feels weak.

But if you succeed, you’ll end up where the griffin takes you. For example, this could be his hiding place. This is where you have to enter the battle. The great thing is that pawns can easily teleport to you.
