After this, you need to install and configure another application.
How to set up SteamCMD
Open the official website and download the archive from step 1. This archive contains the application that needs to be installed not to the system disk, for example to disk (D:). For convenience, create a separate folder.

Launch the application and wait a while while new components are installed and data is updated. Then write the following on the command line:
- force_install_dir c:/Palworld_server/ — to automatically create the necessary folders on disk (C:);
- login — to set the login and password;
- log in anonymously — you can enter these details to skip the authorization part;
- app_update 2394010 validate — update the information in the folder so that you can start your server. This update takes an average of 5 minutes;
- Once completed, verify that the document is complete “DefaultPalWorldSettings.ini” near “Public Gate” was the value “8211”.
Now you can open Palworld dedicated server, which starts and maintains your server while the console is on. If your server doesn’t appear in the game, paste your port and IP address into the search box.

How to open ports on a router
To create a server in Palworld you need to open port 8211 and 8212 on the device you are using. To do this, go to your Wi-Fi router via your browser by entering “192.168.0.1” in the search bar.

Remark: Opening ports works with a PPPoE/PPPoE connection or a static IP address. If you have a dynamic IP address, you may have trouble setting it up. It is best to contact your provider and discuss options to resolve this problem.
How to set up a paid server
If you need a server that is available 24 hours a day, but there is no way to support your game world or you cannot open the ports, you can rent a server from third-party sites. There are several options officially available in Palworld:
- XGamingServer – the minimum option of $ 10 allows you to play with friends and maintain the game world around the clock, but for a large company you will have to take more expensive options;
- Shockbyte – $12 per month per server for up to 12 players;
- XLGames.pro is a Russian hosting with costs starting from 800 rubles. You can also rent servers there for other multiplayer games;
- SRVGame.ru – Moscow servers, cost from 1000 rubles. The closer you are to the server, the lower the ping will be.
In addition, there are many groups and popular bloggers who rent out their servers and conduct various activities there. If you want an active and free server, you should pay attention to such groups.
