But this is not entirely true, because the monk has many advantages that can actually save your passage. How to play as a monk in Baldur’s Gate 3
In Baldur’s Gate 3rd Class “Monk” receives bonuses during battle without armor or weapons, but this does not mean you have to fight completely ‘naked’. At different stages of the passage you handle equipment differently, for example:
- You can use any weapon and armor as needed.
- You can equip monk weapons. A staff, for example. And also things with an initial AC of 10, meaning they don’t belong to any armor type, but still have positive properties.
- Even in armor and with a weapon in your hands, you can inflict serious damage on enemies, but it will provide certain debuffs. We therefore advise you not to do this.
The most important characteristic of a monk is “Agility”. It determines the force of your blow. But more importantly, Agility affects your armor class (KB)which should be high so that enemies rarely hit the hero and ideally can’t kill you.
The second important feature is “Wisdom”. It, like “Agility”, also affects AC. In addition, “Wisdom” increases the power of your spells, which, although present in limited quantities for the monk, play their role.
