“Garden of Serenity” – a new location Honkai: Star Rail, added with another major update. Unlike some other regions, players can find 14 regular chests, two more valuable ones, and one piggy bank. If for some reason you can’t find all the chests, use this guide.
In each region of Honkai: Star Rail, gamers can find chests of varying rarity. Simple chests are often clearly visible, while more valuable chests are hidden behind enemies or puzzles. In it you will find not only experience to improve your character, but also star jade, as well as many materials and resources to progress in the game. In addition, the cards often contain piggy banks – special types of creatures, for defeating which you receive good rewards.
How to reach the Garden of Serenity?
To unlock this region, you’ll need to participate in Fox’s Ghost Story event. But even if it’s not available, you can complete Mastery’s follow-up mission “A Walk in the Garden and an Interrupted Dream.” In this guide we told you more about how to start and complete the task, as well as how to get out of the illusory labyrinth.

Please note that there are several chests on the floating islands, which can be accessed via special mirrors. You can get acquainted with similar devices as you complete the story quest. In addition, you will also find two valuable chests guarded by monsters at the location. Their discovery does not count towards the total score.

What achievements and rewards can you get if you find all the chests?
During the Fox Ghost Story themed event, all players can earn additional rewards in the Patrol section. However, you don’t have to find all 14 chests and the piggy bank for this. It is enough to detect 6 of them. In this case you will receive the following items:
- Traveler’s guide (4);
- Purified ether (3);
- Lost crystal (4).
Please note that these rewards are only available for a limited time, so be quick to claim them! By the way, for finding a regular chest on a floating island, players will unlock the achievement “Through Hardships to the Stars”.
Chest #1 (normal)
Follow the western part of the location to find a small shed. Directly below that is the first regular chest.
Chest No. 2 (valuable)
From the previous chest, run along the path north. After crossing to the right, you’ll see two monsters guarding a valuable chest. To quickly deal with enemies, use characters with quantum and ice damage types.
Chest #3 (normal)
Continue south along the only path. To the left after the transition is a normal chest.
Space piggy bank
After examining the contents of the previous chest, run west. At the fork, turn left and approach the abyss. The piggy bank of space is waiting here. As usual, you have to hit her in time before the fight can start. If she runs away, return to the location later and try again.
Unlike many of its relatives, the pig will arrive on the battlefield with a large support group. We recommend that you damage her first so you can kill her before she disappears. The remaining enemies can be dealt with later.
Chest #4 (normal)
Located in the same place where you could find the piggy bank.
Chest no. 5 (luxury)
The next chest is guarded by a powerful enemy, the Spectral Envoy-Aurumaton, along with the Wraithguard and their minions. To damage the boss’s vulnerability, use heroes with physical, electro, or quantum damage. There is no point in freezing a strong opponent, as she is immune to these types of attacks.
Chest #6 (normal)
To find the next simple chest, you need to walk past the monsters (or defeat them), activate the spatial anchor, go down the stairs and look to the right.
Chest #7 (normal)
Here you will see a small passage to the mirror, which was activated upon completing the story quest. Go to this area and look behind the mirror. There’s a chest waiting here.
Chest #8 (normal)
Don’t rush to leave the area. Instead, go to the mirror and interact with it. You are on a small island with one mirror. Enter this and then the first mirror on the left. A regular chest will appear in front of you.
Chest #9 (normal)
When you pick up the first chest, enter one of the three mirrors and then return to the large island. You will see a small rock appear behind the island. A transparent path leads to it – follow it and get the chest. You can return via the mirror here.
Remark: For receiving this chest you will receive an achievement “Through Hardships to the Stars” in the section “Understand the incomprehensible” (5-star jades).
Chest #10 (normal)
Go to the safe area and approach the canopy. A simple chest awaits behind the railing on the right.
Chest #11 (normal)
Another common chest in this area is located a little further along. Cross the bridge and turn right towards the cliff.
Chest #12 (normal)
From the previous location, run along the path and climb the stairs. The chest is waiting on the left, near the platform.
Chest #13 (normal)
Go towards the elevator, but don’t step on it, otherwise you will end up on the top floor. First activate the spatial anchor and examine the regular chest.
Chest #14 (normal)
Now use the elevator and go forward to the stairs. Go down and turn left. There’s a reward waiting on the cliff.
Chest #15 (normal)
Return to the stone slab and go to the lower level. Run from the spatial anchor to the start of the location. There is a chest to the left of the arch.
Chest #16 (normal)
Run through the arch and follow it to a dead end. You will encounter the last reward available in this region.
