Streamer painted a white character black again and flew into a ban – video

Twitch moderators have banned streamer Thomas “Sodapoppin” Morris (Thomas Morris)’s channel. The reason could be one of the broadcasts, in which he painted the face of the character of one of the games in black.

The streamer later explained that he is the character on Mr. Potato Head from Toy Story wanted to make it look like, so he painted it dark and painted bright red lips. However, some considered this a manifestation of blackface: in the past, comedians used similar makeup to caricature a black person.
