Saber-toothed squirrel Scrat has been hunting an acorn for 20 years since the first ice age came out. Her hunt is finally over: the makers of the Blue Sky Studios cartoons have released a farewell video in which the rodent finally makes his dream come true.
Blue Sky Studios closed its doors in 2021 after Disney acquired 20th Century Fox. “During the final days of Blue Sky Studios, a small group of artists got together to shoot one last video. This cartoon is our goodbyes and goodbyes on our own terms.”

However, the farewell video doesn’t mean we won’t see the crazy squirrel again. Yesterday, Disney released the first episode of Ice Age: Scrat Tales, a miniseries devoted entirely to the hero’s adventures.
