RTVE Play will ring in the New Year with a dedicated program crafted for younger audiences. The channel dedicated to youth kicks off at 22:00 with a special edition of ‘Gene Playz,’ followed by the premiere of ‘Playz’s House,’ a self-produced show hosted by Alba Reche and rapper Bnet, delivering humor, music, and a cascade of surprises.
Among the performers for the Playz New Year’s Eve celebration are Ptazeta, Santa Salut, Lia Kali, Elane, Dollar, Kvinz, Jimena Amarillo, Nickzzy, and Abraham Mateo, alongside Alba Reche and Bnet.
“La casa Playz” stands as the first multiplatform format designed for vertical viewing on TikTok as well, a project that originated at RTVE. To capitalize on this cross-platform appeal, the show will be previewed on Friday, December 30 at 20:00 on the Playz channel, which already boasts nearly 800,000 followers on TikTok. Inspired by 1990s and 2000s sitcom formats, “La casa Playz” speaks to a millennial sensibility while ensuring the energy and audiovisual language feel fresh for generation Z as soon as the show enters the home stage. The result is a hybrid experience that blends nostalgic rhythms with contemporary style and pace.
In addition to the main program, notable figures popular with young audiences—such as Mister Ego, Original Elias, Brahiam Cutz, and Spanish singer-actress Karina—also appear in the narrative of “La casa Playz.” Within this alternate world, participants share grapes at midnight while Ines Hernand, the chosen host, guides the unfolding festivities.
The evening’s grand finale features Juacko performing a remix that revisits hit songs from 2022, including Rosalie’s “Despecha,” and tracks associated with Quevedo and Bizarrap, presenting a vibrant end to a year rich with musical moments.
“La casa Playz” is a concept initially developed and produced for RTVE Play. The project is directed by Rodrigo G. Simón with Irene Mahia and César Vallejo at the helm, and produced by Diego Diaz, reflecting RTVE’s commitment to original youth programming.
