Salaries in television have long captivated audiences. When people discuss iconic presenters, they often expect substantial figures, which is why Público media has disclosed how much RTVE’s top stars earn after a request through the transparency portal. The central question remains: what are the earnings of the industry’s most visible presenters?

The most striking figures come from prime time programs, the hour with the largest audience. Julia Otero was reported to command 25,000 euros for each episode of Días de tele. Carolina Iglesias reportedly earned 5,000 euros per program, leading to a season total of 325,000 euros across 13 episodes. [citation]

Juan y Medio reportedly received 20,000 euros per episode for the talent show The Incredibles, the same amount invoiced Ana Morgade for her comedy program Let’s Get Along. Luján Argüelles, meanwhile, earned 15,000 euros per episode of Brigada Tech. [citation]

Within the talent category, the fifth season of Masters of Sewing showed a range of salaries. The top earner on the panel was fashion designer Lorenzo Caprile at 7,500 euros, while presenter Raquel Sánchez Silva earned 7,200 euros. The other two jurors, Palomo Spain and María Escote, each earned 6,000 euros through their participation. [citation]

Additionally, the All Against 1 competition, which aired in seven installments, featured presenter Rodrigo Vázquez at 9,000 euros per episode, slightly higher than Raúl Gómez at 7,000 euros. Xavier Sardà also appeared on the list with 7,000 euros per episode for the prime time talk show The Great Confusion. [citation]

Shifting to La 1’s daily formats, Aitor Albizúa earned 1,200 euros per episode of El comodín de La 1. Rodrigo Vázquez’s earnings in the film The Hunter stood at 1,300 euros per episode. Jandro earned 2,000 euros for presenting Mapi, while Carla Fernández Pulpón, then an actress, earned 200 euros to join the animated doll costume. [citation]

In the talk show sphere, RTVE indicates Lourdes Maldonado earned 1,000 euros per Hablando Claro program, and Marc Calderó’s weekly pay reached 1,400 euros. The weekend talk show Afternoon Plan paid Toñi Moreno 5,000 euros per episode. Quico Taronjí earned 850 euros per episode of Aqui la tierra. [citation]

La 2 salaries

On their secondary channels, salaries tend to be more modest in line with the audience reach. María Casado led the pack with 8,000 euros per episode for the second season of Three Doors, though it’s important to note that the format crosses from La 1 to La 2. [citation]

Beyond that, the highest earners include Eduardo Sáenz de Cabezón, who billed 3,000 euros per installment of the eighth season of Órbita Laika. Marta Hazas earned 3,825 euros and Xosé Touriñan 3,400 euros for Rutas bizarras. The same 2,500-euro mark appeared for Leonor Martín and Lidia San José on The Pillars of Time, with Raquel Martos on El Condenser de Fluzo and Óscar López on Página 2, while Marc Giró appeared on Late Xou. Cayetana Guillén Cuervo showed three salary levels depending on role: 1,700 euros for Attention studies, 2,100 euros for the Spanish version with a colloquium, or 950 euros without. [citation]

Mario Obrero was reported to earn 1,000 euros per chapter for his book A Country to Read. The Guess and Win format listed multiple salaries: Jordi Hurtado earned 700 euros per episode, while Elisenda Roca earned 184 euros per program. [citation]

Playz, a more modest salary

In RTVE’s digital space, only two presenters share the same format. Influencers Darío Eme Hache and Inés Hernand show two salary tracks. In the standard version, the regular Gen Playz pays 500 euros per episode, while the XL version totals 800 euros. [citation]

Inés Hernand has three distinct salaries for the format: 800 euros in the short version, 2,050 euros in the XL version, and 1,750 euros for Gen Erasmus, a special edition where the host visits five European cities symbolic to the European Union. [citation]
