A blogger known as En Şeker publicly apologized after accusing the Burger King chain. The disclosure came from the press service of the socialbites.ca company.

In a video on a popular YouTube channel, the creator claimed that Burger King patties were not flame-grilled but instead filled with liquid smoke. The retailer responded by taking legal action in the Presnensky Court, seeking 40 hours of compelled labor as a meat fryer in a Burger King kitchen and an order to supply 100 Whopper burgers as part of the case.

Following the lawsuit, the YouTube creator visited a Burger King kitchen to observe the cooking process and filmed portions of the production. The culinary team demonstrated the oven’s operation, showing flame-based cooking of the burger patties for the entire chain. The creator admitted a mistake after seeing the actual method with his own eyes and issued an apology to the restaurant.

“We value responsible communication and encourage everyone to adhere to this standard. It is a straightforward rule, not only a matter of ethics and education but also a legal consideration. The blogger personally entered our kitchen, witnessed the flame, and conveyed what he saw to the audience”, declared Ivan Shestov, Burger King Russia’s commercial director.

Meanwhile, burger prices in Russia have risen in recent times.
