Anne Igartiburu is moving onto a new chapter after her absence from RTVE’s Campanadas, a period that lasted 17 years with interruptions. The familiar host of Corazón will front a preview event organized by the Fuenlabrada City Council. The gathering is set to begin at 11:30 am on Saturday, December 31.
The current finalist on the tenth edition of Tu cara me suena will lead an evening filled with live music and performances. The lineup includes Sora Arnelas and Javier Labandon, known for their contributions to Explode, who are slated to perform as part of the show.
Reports from Semana magazine suggest that Madrid’s City Council initially planned the event for Friday, December 30, with Igartiburu in line to host RTVE Campanadas. After certain adjustments, the date was moved to New Year’s Day as the preparations evolved.
This preview follows Igartiburu’s own involvement in a recent transition at Corazón, where a segment on Ana Obregón’s hosting duties around the bells was reconfigured after Igartiburu’s departure from RTVE. Her shift came after more than a decade shaping the broadcast and contributing to the editorial direction of the program.
In a statement ahead of the bells, Igartiburu expressed a lighthearted resolve. She said she would arrive home wearing a mask to ensure safety, and she hinted at an upbeat tone for the year ahead, noting that she would share the stage with Morancos and others for a festive moment full of laughter and warmth. The sentiment reflected a desire to approach the season with optimism and humor rather than solemnity.
As the video concluded and the program moved on to the next segment, Igartiburu offered a brief remark that did not go unnoticed by viewers. She affirmed that the audience could expect to see her at the broadcast, reinforcing her commitment to the event and its viewers.
