Netflix has decided not to renew Resident Evil for a second season. The authors report this in the media comments.

The project turned out to be a failure, falling out of the top 10 projects in popularity on the platform three weeks after its launch. At the same time, the cost of filming was quite high.
Also, the series was received rather coolly by critics and ordinary viewers. “Resident Evil” has a score of 53 out of 100 on Metacritic and 55% positive on Rotten Tomatoes. Viewers also gave a total of 27% of positive feedback. In general, the project was received rather moderately.
This was Netflix’s second attempt at filming the hit game series and expanding the universe. The animated series Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness has already been released.
