Garden experts have chosen “sleeping” plants for the bedroom. This has been reported Sun With reference to Country Living.
Primrose Garden Center Specialist Evie Lane says certain houseplants can promote quality sleep. These include three-banded sansevieria (“snake plant”), lavender, bonsai, rubber-containing ficus, aloe vera, crested chlorophytum (“spider plant”), spathiphyllum (“peace lily”), and areca.
It is noted that the three-banded sansevieria constantly produces oxygen and purifies the air from formaldehyde, trichloroethylene and benzene. Aloe vera releases oxygen only at night, rubbery ficus and crested chlorophytum absorb toxins, and spathiphyllum and areca help increase humidity. Lavender has a soothing aroma and bonsai symbolizes peace.
