Writer Jane Austen’s house sells for $10.5 million

The Hampshire mansion of British author Jane Austen, known as Steventon House, is being sold by Knight Frank real estate agent. It has been reported New York Post.

We’re talking about the Hampshire mansion where Jane Austen was born and wrote Pride and Prejudice, Northanger Abbey and Sense and Sensibility at the turn of the 19th century.

“Many homes across the country can claim to be associated with some of the UK’s most historic figures, but only Steventon House was the birthplace of iconic author Jane Austen, where she wrote some of her most important writings,” a real estate agent said. Ed Sugden.

The estate is located on a plot of more than 20 hectares. Inside the house are several bedrooms, a large dining room, living room, fireplace room and wine cellar. The grounds include a tennis court, swimming pool and a garden with cherry trees. The authors plan to receive $10.5 million for the historic property.
