Continuation: AMD Introduces New Technologies to Improve Game SpeedAMD has updated its line of flagship graphics cards with the introduction of new models – the Radeon RX 7900 XTX (Navi 31 XTX) and the Radeon RX 7900 XT (Navi 31 XT) based on the RDNA 3 architecture. The company has already shown how much newer performance in games than the Radeon RX 6950 XT.
The screenshot below shows a comparison of the Radeon RX 7900 XTX with the Radeon RX 6950 XT in games (in 4K resolution) such as Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Watch Dogs Legion, cyberpunk 2077, Resident Evil Village (with ray tracing), Metro Exodus (with ray tracing) and Doom Eternal (with ray tracing).

Here are their detailed specs and prices:
- Power consumption: 355W for the Radeon RX 7900 XTX and 300W for the Radeon RX 7900 XT. The connection is made with 8-pin connectors;
- GPU: Navi 31 has 58 billion transistors and delivers single precision performance up to 61 TFLOPS. The connection within the chipset is 5.3 TB/s;
- Architecture: RDNA 3 (5nm process technology);
- Number of FP32 cores: 12288 for the Radeon RX 7900 XTX and 10752 for the Radeon RX 7900 XT;
- Gaming clock: 2.3 GHz for Radeon RX 7900 XTX and 2.0 GHz for Radeon RX 7900 XT;
- Boost Frequency: 2.5 GHz for Radeon RX 7900 XTX;
- Memory: 24 GB GDDR6 for Radeon RX 7900 XTX and 20 GB GDDR6 for Radeon RX 7900 XT;
- Memory bus: 384 bits for Radeon RX 7900 XTX and 320 bits for Radeon RX 7900 XT;
- Memory speed: 20 Gb/s for Radeon RX 7900 XTX and Radeon RX 7900 XT;
- Cache: 96 MB for Radeon RX 7900 XTX and 80 MB for Radeon RX 7900 XT;
- Bandwidth: 960 GB/s for Radeon RX 7900 XTX and 800 GB/s for Radeon RX 7900 XT;
- MSRP: $999 for the Radeon RX 7900 XTX and $899 for the Radeon RX 7900 XT. Prices do not include taxes, so they are likely to be higher in the Russian Federation.

The start of sales of the Radeon RX 7900 XTX and Radeon RX 7900 XT is scheduled for December 13 of this year. As part of a recent presentation, AMD also showed new technologies to increase speed in games.
Recall that in September NVIDIA introduced its flagship graphics cards RTX 4090 ($1599) and 4080 ($1199). Some gamers have already encountered the problem of power connector melting. 😔 The hype has not materialized: nobody needs Atomic Heart? Apparently it did, because the game didn’t even make the top 100 of the Steam world top.
