The work follows Marina, a solitary woman adrift in the middle of the Mediterranean aboard her late husband Oscar’s sailboat. She struggles to navigate the request he left behind: scatter his ashes in Tangier. Eight days of sea travel unfold as she faces trials that test love, memory, and the will to steer her life. She must relive the moments she shared with Oscar and confront the dangers hidden in her own dreams while guarding the helm of her future.

In the process, the heroine discovers she has long acted as co-pilot on this voyage with Oscar, guiding the course of their shared life.
