Before February 24, a planned launch date for the first song by Shakira and Karol G titled TQG surfaced. Some lyrics, an abbreviation for You stay big, have leaked, and the track is described as a heartbreak ballad.
The song is slated to appear on Karol G’s upcoming album Tomorrow will be fine, set to drop next Friday. In a candid discussion with the New York Times, the Colombian artist spoke about sharing personal moments through her music. She explained, “I have spoken honestly about the private aspects of my life in my words. Listeners will discover a lot about my private life through my songs.”
According to journalist Andrea Meza from Telemundo, the track is not expected to drop hints about Piqué, a topic that has come up with Shakira’s recent releases and high-profile collaborations. The conversation touches on past moments with Bizarrap 53 and the hit Uniformity, and even references Anuel AA, Karol G’s former partner. The term “bichota” is not new for Karol G; in the March 2022 track Mamii with Becky G, she made a pointed jab in reference to the other artist.
Two leaked verses have drawn attention: “At least with me, I kept you beautiful,” a line that seems aimed at addressing changes in the appearance of Puerto Rican rapper Anuel AA. Another line appears to send a message to Piqué: “You’re going out foraging, and I think it’s monotonous.”
Fans from Medellín noted the long-standing desire for a collaboration between Shakira and Karol G. Shakira’s breakup experiences are a recurring theme in her music, and there is anticipation that this joint track could lay down anger and resolve in a shared moment. When Karol G received the song, she reportedly told Shakira, “Oh my God, thank you. This lyric is exactly how I’m feeling right now.” The two artists then finished the piece together, and the result blends a tender ballad with reggaeton energy and a sense of female solidarity.

Bad Gyal and Quevedo are also taking part in Karol G’s upcoming album, but the duet between the two Colombian stars remains the track generating the most excitement around the project.
