Soyuzmultfilm, in collaboration with the development studio KB Production, released a mobile game that features characters from the Prostokvashino animated universe. This information was shared by the studio’s press service via RIA News reports.

The game unfolds as a collection of mini games designed to teach fundamental math concepts and counting through an engaging, playful format.

Targeted at children aged five to seven, the experience simulates a virtual supermarket trip alongside familiar friends such as Uncle Fyodor, Matroskin the cat, Sharik the dog, Vera Pavlovna, and Tama-Tama. Players must gather and purchase the items on a given list to prepare a meal, then complete the checkout process to finish the shopping scenario.

The lineup of familiar titles also includes Orange Cow, Raccoons, Umka, and Nu Pogodi! Celebration, expanding the brand’s educational reach within interactive media.

Vitaly Kozlov, founder of KB Production, explained that the studio’s methodologists place importance on building practical life skills through play. The goal is to equip children with abilities that translate to real-world activities.

“The experience of playing Shopping will help a child navigate a store in real life,” Kozlov stated, emphasizing the real-world relevance of the game’s design.

The game Prostokvashino: Supermarket is offered at no cost and is accessible through major app stores.

On a separate note, the animation studio Soyuzmultfilm and its partner Sound launched a musical album titled Musical Treasure, featuring songs from the Prostokvashino series, expanding the franchise’s multimedia footprint for young audiences.

In unrelated news, a recent report from the Netherlands described an incident in which a Van Gogh painting was stolen, underscoring ongoing discussions about art preservation and security in contemporary culture. [citation: industry press coverage]
