The master’s degree program is led by director Carmen Marimon and academic director Ignacio Rodes, who will greet new students from its eleventh edition. In contrast, the Scottish guitarist David Russell headlines a recital on Saturday at 20:00. The performance showcases his elegant, graceful, and expressive style as he interprets a carefully chosen program. The program includes works by Eduardo Sainz, Vicente Asencio, Bernhard Lackenbacher, and Carlos García Tolsa, alongside a traditional Scottish piece and a premiere by Giacomo Susani titled Blue Madeleine, dedicated to Russell himself. The concert promises a blend of intimate storytelling, technical brilliance, and contemporary commissioning that resonates with audiences across generations.
