Nikita Kologrivy, known for his role as Kashchei in The Boy’s Word, spoke candidly after the show’s success about the inflation of advertising prices among young colleagues on the project. He shared his thoughts during a podcast hosted by Eldar Dzharakhov.
“The Boy’s Word arrived, and young artists should tread carefully. They’ve started embedding price tags into their stories and every piece of content. There is a single series behind the scenes,” Kologrivy explained.
According to the actor, this is not his first year in the industry, so he does not place much importance on rising follower counts on social networks. He argues that credibility with seasoned professionals, including producers and directors, matters far more for an actor. In his view, performers must experience every stage of the road to success to preserve their relevance.
“As a veteran once put it, it’s better to begin with underlings and finish with stars than to start with stardom and work downward,” he noted. Many observers wonder, “He’s twenty-one years old, a new star—where should he direct his career, and what should he play?”
