In a discussion with socialbites.ca, Nikita Dzhigurda, a performer and showman, praised Alla Pugacheva as an exceptionally talented singer while opposing the idea of labeling her a foreign agent. He contended that Pugacheva deserves a high standing, especially when compared to individuals already designated as foreign agents in Russia, such as Nevzorov, Makarevich, and Shenderovich.

“I oppose witch hunts and the reckless casting out of people,” he stated. He rejected the notion of declaring Alla Pugacheva a foreign agent. When weighed against the actions of the well-known critics who have received foreign agent status in Russia, he described Pugacheva as a saint in contrast. He suggested that those who criticize the homeland might seemingly enjoy a comfortable life, while others see betraying the Motherland in pursuit of wealth as unacceptable. He noted that in Russia the group of those who deeply criticize the country remains a minority, while many who stay behind are individuals longing for stable family roots rather than a split parental dynamic. He also pointed to debates around gender and sexuality, arguing that resistance to certain modern norms should be seen as a defining stance by those who value traditional family structures. The point, he implied, is that a different cultural environment can lead people to reinterpret what constitutes normal life.

The entertainer predicted that Pugacheva and others who left Russia will eventually face a choosing of sides between light and darkness.

“Alla Pugacheva, with her immense talent, and others who departed must decide who they stand for. Do they align with the values of a country and the broader world that reflects hope, or with a dark path that might be shaping a digital era that restricts freedom for all? The moment of choosing is imminent, and there will be no third option where one can sit on two chairs,” Dzhigurda remarked.

On March 7, activist Vitaly Borodin, known for his outspoken accusations against celebrities, asked the Prosecutor General of Russia, Igor Krasnov, to recognize Alla Pugacheva as a foreign agent. Borodin noted that the artist had repeatedly expressed anti-Russian sentiments and left the country after the start of the special military operation. He also indicated that she supports her husband Maxim Galkin, who has been reported as a foreign agent in Russia.

Additionally, former producer Yevgeny Prigozhin voiced support for Stas Mikhailov in a clash with Pugacheva, who has responded sharply to the criticism directed at departed artists. [citation]
