Moscow rapper MATXX, real name Dmitry Zernov, is set to release a new track despite a Western label decision that blocked its launch. Mash, a Telegram channel, first reported the development.
Zernov collaborated on a verse with Paris-based artist Darui for a track intended for release through their shared project. The label handling Darui’s music chose not to publish the Russian-language verses for political reasons and did not pay the advance. Yet MATXX remains committed to presenting the composition in Russia, underscoring his determination to push forward with his creative work despite industry friction.
Earlier, MATXX delivered a rap rendition of the iconic chanson “Murka” for a teaser tied to Babushka Boi featuring A$AP Rocky, showcasing his willingness to blend genres and appeal to diverse audiences.

Oleksandr Us, founder and creative director of Sila Sveta, notes that the studio has long maintained a solid presence in foreign markets and is not facing what some call cancellation culture, thanks to a sustained international reputation and a history of cross-border collaborations.
