The exhibition presents more than 60 works across photography, video, and installation, with several pieces never shown in Spain before. Data and the bundled resistors frame a show by Massimo Pisani, opening at 19:00 on a Friday at the Alicante University Museum (MUA).

The Italian artist, who has called Alicante home for more than a quarter of a century, curates this presentation. It surveys a portion of his artistic production from the 1970s to the present day, offering a guided journey through his evolving practice.

The exhibit unfolds in two complementary parts across two UA venues. At the MUA, the Puppy Room is available until February 5, while the Alicante City University Venue, located at Ramón y Cajal, 4, will host displays from 14 October to 19 December at 19:00.

Curators describe Pisani’s work as a form of conceptual art that remains attentive to context yet avoids mere anecdote. The pieces invite a fresh interpretation, inviting viewers to engage with ideas that transcend traditional boundaries and spark new lines of inquiry.

Pisani approaches his practice as a transformation of ideas, presenting thought plastically as an energy carrier that prompts reflection. He is an introspective artist who often operates on the fringe of the international art scene, yet keeps a vigilant eye on emerging issues and conversations in contemporary art.
