M Fest has grown through six years of rhythm and discovery. It began in 2018 under the banner M Festival Rock Mediterráneo, with local groups backed by a well-known national music label, guests that first year included Limbo. While the number of concerts has fluctuated, the festival has kept a balance between homegrown artists forging their path and national acts, now expanding to international names with solid careers.
The festival’s core idea centers on three days of double shows, organized with the support of the Mediterranean Foundation and the curators Miguel Carratalá and Alejandro Tévar. This year the event travels through Alicante on three dates between September and November, with tickets already on sale via the foundation’s site and entradasatualcance.com for 15 euros per session.
Designed to attract a younger crowd eager to hear new bands, M Fest invites fans to attend a band’s concert alongside a second act they might not yet know. The shared experience creates musical bridges, and artists meet audience members and fellow musicians on stage.
“M Fest aims to strengthen ties among musicians and bands throughout the province,” says the Mediterranean Foundation. The festival also showcases Alicante’s music scene, with a lineup that prioritizes active bands releasing recent material or planning releases, and a repertoire rich in original material.
Louis Boyer, president of the Fundación Mediterráneo, explains that the program is designed to enrich the cultural offerings of the province, attract new audiences to institutional centers, and provide a compelling experience for the public. It is a program firmly rooted in Alicante’s provincial identity.
To draw larger crowds, three concerts feature paired acts: on 20 October, Viscopaf from Alicante opens before the Catalan artist Charlotte Flâneur; on 2 November, Alicante’s Flying Pig shares the stage with the American act Black Ice Cream; and on 17 November, a Alicante duo teams up with Maika Makovsky from Majorca to close the run.

Viscopaf is an alternative band that blends diverse influences from indie of the 80s and 90s to disco of the 70s, along with contemporary R&B and dream-pop. The lineup features singer Benjamin Fernandez, guitarist Pepe Ivanez, bassist Jaime Zaragoza, drummer Angel Perez, keyboardist Marcos Martinez, and guitarist Hector Rodriguez (St ew).
About two years ago, Carlota Flàneur emerged with a first EP that showcased a vivid, colorful pop world. Her debut album explores the many shapes and colors of pop, stepping into a fantastical universe. Ferran Palau returns as producer, supporting a chromatic, soft cadence that characterizes her work.

HE, a group rooted in Alicante, presents a long-term project captured live in a Sierra de Aitana cabin. The record channels anger and anxiety into a resolute, courageous voice that seeks a way through the tunnel of doubt. Marcos Martinez, the principal composer, dives into roots and crafts melodies marked by a radiant, rhythmic energy, with piano accents that sharpen the pop textures and melancholic, innocent refrains that linger like fire and escape.
Robert Carlos Lange, known as Black Ice Cream, hails from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. An American musician with Ecuadorian roots, Lange now resides in Brooklyn. His music blends bilingual English and Spanish lyrics with a fluid mix of electronic and other styles. Lange’s inventive approach to song reveals a confident voice that invites listeners on an adventurous pop journey. Albums such as That’s How You Laugh (2019) and Away (2021) reflect this trajectory.

The collaboration between Isaac and Trice Burro blends acoustic pop urgency with Beatriz Montiel’s poetic sensibilities and Conrado Isasa’s melodic landscapes. The project’s sensitivity and courage culminated in a self-titled debut that resonated with audiences.
Beatriz Montiel, a visual artist, composer, performer, and actor, created a musical program between 2018 and 2021 called Muse Clock on television. With eight studio albums, one live release, and credits in theater and film soundtracks, the project earned recognition, including the MIN Awards’ Best Rock Album in its fourteenth edition for the acclaimed MKMK album.
Notes: This program emphasizes Alicante’s diverse talent and the province’s cultural vitality, inviting audiences to experience a range of modern rock, pop, and electronic influences through live performance and intimate collaborations.
