Lyubov Uspenskaya spoke openly about her past with Philip Kirkorov in a candid interview with journalist Alena Zhigalova. In the conversation, she recalled a claim that Kirkorov had once proposed to her.
“It would be too much to say outright,” she reflected. “He proposed to me in America. I was married at the time and had a child, so the moment was strikingly unusual and even humorous to me.”
Uspenskaya noted that not long after this episode, Kirkorov reportedly married Alla Pugacheva. The singer suggested that Kirkorov has since been involved in a pattern of public accusations against others and has tried to attach himself to their reputation. She observed that his conduct has changed in recent years and described his behavior as inappropriate.
“I am ashamed of him. Does he really think there are fans who attend his shows and display provocative behavior?” she asked. “Let him confront a new challenge instead. This feels dishonorable.”
Uspenskaya went on to characterize Kirkorov as misogynistic, portraying him as someone who “played games and lied for most of his life.”
“It’s a fabrication. I have known him for many years,” she concluded, underscoring a sense of disillusionment with the public figure.
