Live healthy!
Colleagues doubted the accuracy of rumors about the program’s closure. In response, Malysheva spoke to socialbites.ca, via Channel One’s press service, and stated plainly that the show remains a vital part of the lineup. Her schedule was described as temporarily unavailable, but no definitive end was announced.
According to the Channel One press office, Live healthy is not a casualty of the network’s strategy. The program is not grouped with entertainment fare; instead, the channel restructured its grid to reflect ongoing social and political developments. The message was clear: there is no plan to shut down the project.
Earlier, the Telegram channel Baza claimed that the host of the program had written about a shutdown. On March 29, it was reported that a team working on Kanal One broadcasts had been disbanded. The rumor suggested that changes in the broadcast network, combined with Russia’s military operation in Ukraine, reduced the number of entertainment shows on state channels, pushing them to the informational sphere. Reports also claimed that staff had not been paid under temporary contracts without formal workforce registration.
Live healthy has aired on Kanal One since August 2010, and its presence on the channel was described as enduring beyond the current rumor mill.
Doctor Myasnikov
Alexander Myasnikov, a physician and television presenter, told socialbites.ca that new iterations of his medical program would be shown next weekend on Rossiya 1. The most recent broadcast had aired on February 26.
He noted that the grid has changed considerably and future releases may not be guaranteed. He remarked that his program did not air for several weeks and might return on April 9 and 10, provided there are no force majeure circumstances. Since 2013, Myasnikov has hosted programs on Rossiya 1, including About the Most Important and Doctor Myasnikov.
Posner
Vladimir Pozner explained that his interview program has not aired since February 28, as Channel 1 shifted toward information programming after February 24. He indicated that this status would persist until the end of Russia’s special operation in Ukraine. He noted that some of his shows, along with others, would not be broadcast during this period.
Pozner described his program as an author’s interview series where he questions politicians, public figures, artists, scientists, and athletes. The discussions may be informative or unrelated to the week’s events. The show first aired on November 17, 2008.
Evening Urgant
Similarly, the program Evening Urgant was pulled from Channel One’s air schedule. Host Ksenia Sobchak shared a post on Telegram suggesting the show might be closed. Channel One’s press service denied the rumor, explaining that the network is operating in information mode and that not all entertainment programs are currently broadcast, while others remain in rotation.
Larisa Krymova, head of the Public Relations Directorate at Channel One, commented to Rossiyskaya Gazeta about Evening Urgant’s absence from the air. It was explained that recent scheduling changes are tied to days off and to the broader social and political context. The show continues to operate on the channel when its programming grid allows it. The Evening Urgant program aired for the first time on April 16, 2012 and stands as a Russian adaptation of the late-night format. The program features guest interviews, jokes about current issues, studio segments, and performances by popular artists.
Block broadcast grids
In the wake of Russia’s special operation in Ukraine, Channel One and Rossiya 1 chose to overhaul their broadcast networks, prioritizing informational and analytical materials. Prank and light entertainment segments were scaled back or removed. The Channel One press service noted that in the current climate, greater emphasis would be placed on socio-political programming, while entertainment offerings would be limited. On one occasion, Dancing with the Stars was replaced with Sunday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov in a special edition, as reported by Rossiya-1’s press service to TASS on February 25.
