The stars of the short-run program “Improvisation” are set to return to television in a new STS offering titled “Improvors.” The change was confirmed by the channel’s press service, signaling a fresh chapter for a troupe known for rapid-fire wit and spontaneous humor.

The premiere is scheduled for March 16, featuring a quartet of improv veterans: Anton Shastun, Arseniy Popov, Dmitry Pozov, and Sergey Matvienko. Each episode will unfold without a fixed script, with the comedians diving into improvised sketches on assigned topics. A rotating guest will join the ensemble in every episode, bringing unexpected challenges that test quick thinking and creative banter.

Among the early guests in the frontier season was TV host and blogger Dmitry Maslennikov. He described the collaboration as a celebration of shared projects and camaraderie: “We talk, we support each other’s ventures. We move forward together, face to face. So I didn’t just come to shoot a scene; I came to enjoy time with friends.”

For seven years the core team has been performing together, turning their chemistry into multiple successful TV formats and online projects. They are the driving force behind the popular program Loud Question and the series Stories, as well as two YouTube channels that have amassed millions of subscribers. “The improv genre has a massive fan base, and STS understands what viewers crave. So why not launch a new show in a beloved format with familiar faces and give it a distinctive twist? We’re thrilled,” stated Stas Sheminov, the project’s creative producer, reflecting on the upcoming premiere.

Earlier, at the end of 2022, information surfaced about the planned closure of another improvised format on TNT, signaling a shift in the channel’s lineup and the broader appetite for unscripted humor across networks. The new STS program seems positioned to capitalize on that interest, offering a fresh stage for improvised storytelling and spontaneous audience interaction.
