Actress Daria Sagalova spoke in an interview with News.ru about her delight in returning to the Happy Together project. She described the relaunch of the series as a true journey, though she also shares worries about how the new Bukin family will be received by fans.

Sagalova noted that the cast has changed significantly, especially herself and Alexander Yakin, who portrays Roman Bukin. She wonders whether audiences will embrace these older, altered versions of their beloved characters.

Known best for her portrayal of Sveta Bukina, the quintessential blonde in Happy Together, Sagalova is stepping back into a world that fans already know well.

On July 5, announcements confirmed that a sequel to the Happy Together sitcom is in the works. The new drama, titled Bukin, will follow the Bukin family in a fresh arc. Returning to their roles are Victor Loginov, Natalya Bochkareva, Daria Sagalova, and Alexander Yakin, with production led by the Andreasyan brothers’ film company.

Georgy Dronov, who directed Happy Together, was approached about directing the new project. He admitted the possibility but noted that his autumn schedule is packed and could affect his ability to take on the role.

Earlier reports also raised questions about Lena Poleno’s involvement in the reboot, with speculation that she might not appear in Bukin.
