The family of the singer Eduard Charlotte learned through news reports that a criminal case has been opened against him. In this context, Telegram channel Mash published a link to the artist’s father, Yaroslav Sharlot, sharing the information with followers.

According to Charlotte Sr., she was taken aback upon reading about the allegations surrounding her son. She stressed that she has not seen or received any official documents related to the case as of yet.

In the near term, Yaroslav Charlotte returned to St. Petersburg in early December after Eduard had been held under administrative detention. He intends to arrange legal counsel for Eduard in Samara, where the singer is expected to be transferred from St. Petersburg.

On the night of November 22, Eduard left Yerevan, where he had temporarily resided, and flew to St. Petersburg, landing at Pulkovo Airport. He was detained immediately after the plane touched down.

As of now, Eduard Charlotte has not been formally charged. The three criminal cases involving the singer include two related to the rehabilitation of Nazism and one concerning the insult of believers, prompted by videos he posted on Instagram, a platform owned by Meta, which Russia has classified as extremist and subsequently banned.

The unfolding events in Russia mark a tense period, with authorities pursuing prosecutions and the public watching closely how the legal process will unfold for the performer. The situation has drawn widespread attention across media and social networks, with updates continuing to emerge as investigations proceed and more details become available to the public.
