The show’s storyline pivots on a major shift in the family dynamic. In the new series, the character Venik, played by Philip Bledny, takes center stage after Sergei Vasnetsov, portrayed by Andrey Leonov in the original run, is replaced. Venik’s wife Dasha, brought to life by Anastasia Sivaeva, leaves him and their children, thrusting the young father into the role of single parent as he builds his life around raising his daughters.

Several familiar faces return to their roles, including Miroslava Karpovich, Nonna Grishaeva, Elizaveta Arzamasova, Anastasia Sivaeva, and Ekaterina Starshova. New cast members include Vita Kornienko, Eva Smirnova, Polina Ainutdinova, and Polina Denisova, expanding the dynamic of the family and the household that viewers will follow through the season.

On August 27, it was announced that Daria Melnikova, who previously played Zhenya Vasnetsova, will also return to the project. Her character remains part of the storyline, continuing the arc of a competitive athlete whose drive for new records eventually brings health-related challenges, resulting in a hospital visit for the character.
