Alicante Cultural Exhibition: Ruiz Morante Returns to COMA Hall

Alicante’s Medical Faculty is set to open its doors to culture for the first time in 2024, inviting the public to a dedicated cultural program. The exhibition will take place at COMA Hall on Thursday, January 11, starting at 19:30 and running through February 5. The show centers on the late and renowned Alicante artist Ruiz Morante, featuring unpublished works from the private collection of Dr. José Manuel Quílez. Twenty oil paintings created between 2000 and 2006 will be on display, giving visitors a glimpse into the artist’s late-career studio practice. Each Saturday morning during 2000 to 2006, the year of the painter’s passing, Morante was seen in conversation and working at Quílez’s home, a testament to the close friendship that shaped this body of work.
