No longer a child, not yet an adult
In the new season, the well-known characters of the series are one step closer to adulthood. Yesterday’s schoolchildren have come of age and have to cope with the new challenges of fate. The reality surrounding them also contributes to this: the new chapter is remembered two years ahead (to 1996), just in time for the presidential election race to end, with the political slogan “Vote or lose” and one’s faith in an election. so people can be affected.
At the same time, according to the creative producers and screenwriters of the series Pyotr Vnukov and Alexander Belov, the main role is still occupied not by the fate of the country, but by the fate of the main characters.
Sanka (Yegor Gubarev), who has had a shaky romantic relationship with Zhenya over the past two seasons (valentina lyapina), will become involved in new love affairs. Vovka (Yegor Abramov) tries to come to terms with his status as a young father. And Ilyusha (Fyodor Roshchin) finds a new story that develops not only with his friends, but also with them.
As for Yura Borisov, he will return to the screens again in the third part (despite the frank finale of the second season, he made the audience guess about the future fate of Alik). New heroes, new challenges
In the third season, Yuri Kuznetsov, Varvara Shmykova, Evgeny Tkachuk and Alexandra Khromova joined the cast. Kuznetsov will play the role of coach Alik, who embodies the archetype of a mentor and father. According to the actress, cooperation with Borisov made a strong impression on her. The artists have already worked together on the film “Captain Volkonogov fled”, the release of which in Russia was postponed indefinitely.

Talking about the recognizable symbols of the period, the writers of the series noted that the heroes of popular culture also entered the plot. The changes also affected the environment: the roof on which the heroes loved to gather in the first seasons was replaced by a bench, another iconic image of the 90s.
New heroes (and villains with them) intensify internal conflicts. Yevgeny Tkachuk admitted that the story somehow became more ridiculous and even scarier. This was confirmed by the showrunners of the series Peter Vnukov and Alexander Belov. The latter noted that the growth process was not easy for the heroes.
“This season is about the utter confusion about the future that we are all experiencing right now. A new kind of evil emerges in the story, which the heroes must face and are not ready to face. And since Alik and Sanya (who looks at him with admiration) are the chiefs of some kind of justice in this world and they reject oppression, they have to look for new ways to achieve this justice. At the same time, we are not trying to deliberately dramatize it somehow. But there are points scattered throughout the world of history that hurt us as well, and this is reflected in the new season as well.
