Actress Jennifer Lawrence admitted in an interview with Vogue that rumors about her close relationship with director Harvey Weinstein nearly ruined her career.
“It almost ruined my career because most people were sure I kept quiet while I was defending it,” Lawrence said.
He noted that he saw these rumors as the strangest things he had ever heard. The actress was surprised that people suggested a possible close relationship between them.
The notorious Weinstein processed 23 years in prison for various sexual harassment incidents. In June, Weinstein’s appeal in the First Circuit Court was dismissed. Experts rated the judge’s action, which punished the producer, as fair and in line with US law.
