Ballerina Anastasia Volochkova said she filed a lawsuit against the Russian Pension Fund for losing 15 years of work experience. The dancer shared this in a chat mk.ru.
“I was supposed to receive a pension 10 years ago. I am 48 years old, ballerinas in Russia retire at 38 <...> “I am not fighting for money. Defending the truth is my principle,” he explained.
Volochkova added that her work experience was “stolen” from her by the Bolshoi Theatre, which issued a fake work book. The Krasnodar Theatre, where the artist worked after her dismissal from the Bolshoi, also “lost” their contract.
“As funny as it sounds, I am the prima ballerina of all Russia.<...> And in my beloved country, being a patriot, I dance where I do not receive a pension,” Volochkova complained.
The dancer added that she wanted to return to her experience because it was a matter of principle. She noted that she became a principal dancer at the Mariinsky Theatre at the age of 18 and has been dancing for nearly 30 years.
