British actor Ian McKellen has spoken out about his health after falling off stage during a theater performance in London and being hospitalized. He addressed his fans on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
The actor, who played the character Gandalf in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, thanked everyone for their kind words and support.
“My injuries were assessed and treated by NHS specialists to whom I owe a great debt. “They assured me that the restoration would be complete and quick,” he wrote.
The 85-year-old actor noted that he plans to return to work.
McKellen is known to be stumbled On top of a pile of broken bricks and weapons erected on the stage during a battle scene. He played the role of Falstaff in a reimagining of William Shakespeare’s play Henry IV. Eyewitnesses stated that McKellen was seriously injured and asked for help.
