Singer Lyubov Uspenskaya said that she wants to release an album of songs based on poems by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova. The artist’s words are quoted as follows: TASS.
“These songs are of such high quality, there are such poems, because people listen to them first, and then listen to the music, my performance,” admitted the artist.
According to Uspenskaya, she enjoys performing the compositions created by Zakharova at concerts and also dreams of working on new songs with the diplomat.
The singer also recalled that his daughter Tatyana Plaksina became close to Zakharova during her illness. She said that an official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs advised her to be strong and reminded her that the people need artists. At the same time, according to Uspenskaya, the diplomat sent her the lyrics of the song “I loved you so much.” Later, the artist collaborated with Zakharova in creating the composition “Prayer”, which she now performs together with her daughter.
“When I showed these words to my daughter, she asked me if these were poems by Marina Tsvetaeva,” the celebrity recalled.
Uspenskaya in April accepted “Golden Vulture” statuette for the song “My Power is With Me” at the ceremony “Chanson of the Year – 2024”. The poems of the composition were also written by Zakharova.
