Actor Ivan Okhlobystin admitted that he considered the departure from Russia of comedian Semyon Slepakov (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) as a betrayal. His words are quoted aif.ru.
“I don’t think he thinks that way. And I see it as a betrayal. <…> How should we approach this? We must forget these. That’s probably the best way out of the situation,” said the “Interns” star.
Okhlobystin stated that he did not become friends with Slepakov during the filming of the series “Interns”, where the comedian was a producer and one of the authors of the project.
“He’s very witty… But no. “I was more friendly with others,” the artist explained.
According to the actor, he was always wary of Slepakov, as he considered his attitude towards people as “service personnel”. Okhlobystin added that he was also offended by Slepakov’s old song about the priest, and many saw a reference to the actor.
“I am not in pain or crying, but I have drawn conclusions for myself. He is a traitor. I don’t think he’s thought this through. The actor concluded that he did this within the bounds of disdain for people “who are not on his level.”
Comedian Semyon Slepakov left Russia in March 2022. He noted that he has no plans to return. Later, the comedian was included in the register of foreign agents. He filed a lawsuit to have this status removed, but denied.
