Through these awards, Gil-Albert Institute pretend to show innovative perspectives of the different artistic languages of postmodernity, as well as promoting mechanisms that support the meeting and participation of young plastic creators not only from the province, but from all over the world. Selected works of this edition cover different disciplines such as painting, collage, sculpture, photography, engraving, digital art or installation.
Twenty-four proposals were selected from among more than a hundred proposals received in this call. The jury, chaired by Julia Parra, consisted of: Susana Guerrero -Artist and professor at UMH-, remedies –MUA technique-, José Luis PerezPont -director of the Valencian Community of Museums Consortium-, shell ros – head of the Valencian Community-Murcia’s Regional Headquarters at the Institute of Contemporary Art- and Pilar Tebar – Cultural director of IAC Juan Gil-Albert.
The jury highlights the diversity of themes, proposals and techniques used, enriching a call that unites contemporary creation with the university community and society.
