A Moscow press briefing announced the release of the Top 1000 Russian Managers list, an annual ranking compiled by the Association of Managers. The association’s press service confirmed the event, noting that this year’s edition features senior executives across 12 main categories and 4 special categories, spanning 20 sectors.
For nearly twenty-five years, the Association of Directors has highlighted Russia’s most capable leaders among the top tier of corporate managers. Each year, the pool of applicants grows, and this year more than half of the honorees are newcomers. That dynamic signals sustained interest from Russia’s business community and demonstrates that the economy remains active and oriented toward the future. This perspective was shared by Dmitry Zelenin, president of the Association of Managers.
The rating is widely regarded as more than a simple exercise in judging competence. It has evolved into a robust analytical tool whose statistics illuminate emerging business trends and provide insights into the trajectory of the Russian economy.
Vyacheslav Evseev, general director of the Managers Association, explained that the rating methodology rests on the principle that the best select the best. The decision on awards is driven by the business world itself, reflecting peer recognition and industry-wide consensus.
Participants in this year’s ranking, alongside past winners, evaluated colleagues across their functional domains using a set of concrete criteria, including business reputation and contributions to company development. These measures help form a comprehensive portrait of leadership across industries and functional areas.
During the discussion, invited specialists explored the role of artificial intelligence in strategic management. They shared perspectives on deploying AI technologies in management processes and agreed that artificial intelligence presents one of the era’s central challenges. Its diffusion is seen as a transformative force for Russian business, reshaping how organizations plan, execute, and compete.
In sum, the Top 1000 Russian Managers rating captures the year’s outcomes and highlights the country’s most professional leaders in their respective fields, as identified by representatives of the professional community.
Organized by the Association of Managers, the Top 1000 Russian Managers ranking is supported by Rambler Co as the official media partner.
