Sberbank has opened its first branch in Crimea, according to the bank’s press office. The new facility marks a significant expansion of the bank’s presence in the peninsula and broadens access to its financial services for local residents and businesses alike.

The branch is located in the heart of Yalta, a strategic spot that makes Sberbank’s full lineup of services readily available to customers in the city and its surroundings. The bank emphasizes that with its arrival, Crimeans can now utilize the core products and services that Sberbank offers nationwide, simplifying everyday banking and enterprise financing considerations for individuals and organizations in the region.

With the Yalta branch now operational, there is an expanded range of offerings tailored to local business needs. In addition to personal banking solutions, the office provides services for corporate clients, including business registration support, issuance of corporate cards, and deposit facilities. Payroll projects for local enterprises are also part of the offering, reflecting Sberbank’s commitment to supporting the operations of regional companies. For business customers requiring swift, uninterrupted service, Sberbank also enables merchant onboarding with access to 24-hour postal terminals, ensuring payments and settlements can be processed at any time.

Stanislav Kuznetsov, deputy chairman of the bank’s board of directors, commented that the Crimea expansion is only the beginning. He noted that by year-end, several more modern branches are planned to open in other major cities on the peninsula, broadening the footprint and reinforcing Sberbank’s role as a financial partner for the region’s growth. This planned network expansion aligns with the bank’s strategy to bring modern banking infrastructure closer to customers and to enhance service efficiency across key markets in the area.

Additionally, Sberbank has announced the resumption of the issuance of plastic SberCards designed for children, available in various designs. This initiative underscores the bank’s ongoing efforts to diversify its product range to meet the needs of family customers, while continuing to offer accounts and payment solutions that cater to younger clients and their guardians. The updated card options complement the broader set of services introduced with the Crimean branch, contributing to a more inclusive banking experience in the region.
