“According to the data, Russians look for repair specialists mainly based on reviews and word of mouth from people they know,” said Polina Tsvetkova, project manager for Repair with SberServices. The survey shows 11 percent use online services to find a master, and only 2 percent rely on social networks. Meanwhile, 43 percent say they have never needed help and did all repairs themselves. A large majority, 75 percent, consider it important to consult friends’ opinions to gauge the quality of a master’s work. Nineteen percent turn to familiar experts for contractor contacts, while six percent prefer to choose masters themselves. Finding a repair technician takes varying amounts of time. Fourteen percent complete the job in less than a day, 11 percent in 1–3 days, 13 percent in 4–6 days, and 22 percent are looking at about a week. Eight percent are prepared to extend the search to two to three weeks or even one to two months. Overall, a quarter (24 percent) say the call time depends on the repair’s complexity. Material selection emerges as the top additional service ordered by participants at 33%. Lighting and landscape design consultancies each received 11% of the votes, while 3D visualization and design drew 13% each.
