Rostec State Corporation has initiated talks with several international airlines to adopt the Russian Leonardo reservation system. This development comes from DEA News, which cites the state-owned enterprise as confirming progress in these negotiations.

Rostec indicated that negotiations with additional foreign carriers are also moving toward finalization, signaling a broader shift to domestic software across the aviation sector.

The corporation announced that Belavia, the Belarusian airline, is slated to migrate to the Leonardo system in early September, with the transition planned for September 4–5.

During a briefing, Aeroflot’s Deputy General Manager, Anton Matskevich, stated that the airline plans to allocate at least 10 billion rubles toward domestically developed software as part of an import-substitution program. He explained that the funds will support four initiatives, the foremost being the migration from the Saber international reservation platform to the Leonardo system built domestically.

Reports from November of the previous year indicated that Aeroflot had become fully integrated with the Leonardo reservation system after it was introduced by Sirena-Travel in collaboration with Rostec State Corporation. The Leonardo platform was designed to replace foreign software and enhance system resilience in the face of potential enforcement restrictions and other operational risks.

The Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SJ-100) has also featured in discussions about domestic aviation technology, with notes on its initial operations and loyalty programs, including the First Flight initiative staged in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. These developments illustrate a broader effort to consolidate flight operations and customer loyalty under a unified Russian software ecosystem, aligning airline operations with national software strategies and security considerations.
