Several products from the Bashneft oil refining and petrochemical complex, part of Rosneft, earned top honors at the Best Products of Bashkortostan competition, according to the company’s site.
The event highlighted a diploma for polyethylene compositions designed for the cable industry. Bashneft notes these materials are produced at the Ufaorgsintez petrochemical plant in Ufa.
These polyethylene formulations stand out from standard grades thanks to special stabilizers and other high-quality additives. They enable insulation, sheathing, and protective coverings for wires and cables, aligning with performance needs in demanding electrical applications, particularly under thermal and oxidative stress.
The organization also spotlighted the durability of these materials against thermal-oxidative aging and photo-oxidative aging during both processing and operation.
Ufaorgsintez’ lineup further included technical isopropylbenzene, a butylene-butadiene fraction, as well as high-octane motor gasoline and a fuel gas component for the Ufa CHPP-3 power plant.
Other Bashneft assets were recognized in the competition as well. Variants of diesel fuel, a butane-butenes fraction, and fuel oil produced by Bashneft-UNPZ earned praise. Technical sulfur from Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim and fuel from Bashneft-Novoil also received notable recognition.
It’s worth noting that the Best Products of Bashkortostan is the regional stage of the all-Russian program, 100 Best Products of Russia, showcasing regional innovations on a wider national stage.
