As indicated in the explanatory note to the bill, there are currently 82 such apartments in the Russian Federation. Most of them are located in the Sverdlovsk region (27), St. Petersburg (18) and in the Pskov region (9).

According to experts, this mechanism can help unburden regions for the maintenance of “rejected” apartments and help manage the housing stock more efficiently.
